More than 300,000 people in the United States have died from COVID-19. At the same time, the pandemic has upended typical grieving practices like funerals. That means that grief may be affecting people differently this holiday season. We speak with Donna Schuurman, the senior director of advocacy & training at the Dougy Center, about grieving during the pandemic. And Portland-based writer Laura Stanfill tells us about losing her best friend to COVID-19 this year.
