After an extended back-and-forth between Portland city officials, the future of the self-governed homeless village called Hazelnut Grove in Portland is still unclear. In January, city officials said that they would close the village, citing environmental concerns. Now, the city says that Hazelnut Grove will lose some services, but residents who want to remain can do so. We talk about the future of Hazelnut Grove with Josh Maurice, a resident, and Peggy Zebroski, an activist with the “Save Hazelnut Grove” campaign.
