Reported acts of racism, violence and hate crimes directed at members of the Asian American Pacific Islander community have increased significantly during the pandemic. Last month, eight people, including six Asian American women, were shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia. The attacks have had a profound impact on mental health for many in the AAPI community. Jenjee Sengkhammee has made creating a supporting and safe space for Black, Inigenous and other people of color who are clients a key element of her practice. She joins us to share what she’s been hearing from her clients and her own experience as a Hmong American woman.
