The Oregon Country Fair is a three-day arts and music festival that provides fairgoers with parades, crafts, music and circus acts around each turn.

This year, fair organizers added six acres to the already expansive grounds, allowing for more entertainment and arts. The fair's general manager, Charlie Ruff, said that the expansion also opened up more ticket sales. Weather also played a factor in the turnout.

"We went through that incredible hot spell here. And just right at the right moment the weather turned down 20 degrees," Ruff said. "With those two forces (the expansion and weather) coming together, we just had a banner year."

Additionally, it was Ruff's last year as general manager. He said he was thankful to end his tenure hosting the event on such a high note.
