Elizabeth Candello is a woman on a mission. She's determined to help close an important gap for those needy enough that they receive federal food assistance program called SNAP (formerly known as food stamps.) Candello formed Live.Treat.Heal.Repeat to provide women with everything from tampons to lice treatment to diapers, all necessities that are not covered by the federal SNAP program.

Candello is partnering with the Baltazar F. Ortiz Community Center on NE Killingsworth Street. She says the center is the perfect place to distribute the supplies, because people are comfortable spending time there and, unlike food pantries or other social service locations, there's no stigma to be there.
