Titus Andronicus — “(I’m) Screwed”

THANKS TO OUR SPONSOR:

Long-running New Jersey rock band Titus Andronicus cobbles together an ambitious kaleidoscope of sounds on the new song “(I’m) Screwed.” The track, which comes from the band’s upcoming seventh album “The Will To Live,” is driven by bandleader Patrick Stickles’ grimy lead vocals and a chorus of theatrical classic rock harmonies.

Indigo Sparke — “Pressure In My Chest”

Indigo Sparke is set to release her second album, “Hysteria,” on Oct. 7. The Australian songwriter’s collaboration with producer Aaron Dessner (of The National) shines on the lead single “Pressure in my Chest,” which Sparke made during a time of personal struggle. “I was moving through huge waves of grief and trying to reconcile what was going on, internally and externally,” Sparke said. “It felt like everything was falling through this hole in my chest.”

M(h)aol — “Bored Of Men”

Irish post-punk outfit M(h)aol (pronounced “male”) dropped this new single on the heels of their debut EP, which came out late last year. Written in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v, Wade, “Bored Of Men” carries an unambiguous message with a clearly fed up Róisín Nic Ghearailt on vocals. “The title of the song is very tongue in cheek for me, but it does reference a very real sense of frustration and exhaustion with the Patriarchy,” she explained.
