
Winston Szeto
Winston Szeto is a digital producer with OPB's Weekend Edition based in Portland.
He has prior experience working with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) bureau in British Columbia as a journalist on digital, radio and TV platforms, covering a wide range of topics including immigration and diaspora communities. In 2022, he won an RTDNA Canada award for his contribution to CBC's investigation on forced labor involved in tomato production in China's Xinjiang region.
Winston studied political science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Chinese law at Tsinghua University in Beijing, public policy at the University of Erfurt in Germany, and journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada.
Originally from Hong Kong, he speaks Cantonese and Mandarin fluently and has a working knowledge of German and Japanese.
