• Can Portland handle a big event like the Outdoor Retailer trade show, which recently pulled out of Salt Lake City? We talk with Steve Faulstick from Travel Portland about what it takes to attract big conventions to the Rose City.

• The Eugene City Council is considering an ordinance that would ban dogs from the downtown area, except for dogs that belong to people who live and work there. The Chamber of Commerce says this would help businesses in the area by alleviating a safety problem, but critics of the ordinance say it would be discriminatory against homeless people.
